Sidhabill ("we", "our", or "us"), operated under Sidhabill Solutions, is dedicated to protecting the privacy of our merchants, businesses, and their end customers. This Privacy Policy governs the collection, storage, processing, and disclosure of information when you access or use our cloud billing applications, POS software, APIs, and website (sidhabills.com).

We operate in compliance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA), 2023 of India.

2. Information We Collect

When you register, create invoices, or use our platform, we collect the following categories of information:

• Merchant Account Information: Full name, business trade name, registered business address, GSTIN, PAN number, email address, phone number, and account credentials.
• Billing & Invoicing Data: Product catalog, pricing, SKU barcodes, inventory counts, customer names, phone numbers, invoice dates, tax rates (CGST/SGST/IGST), and payment modes recorded during billing.
• Payment Details: Transaction identifiers, payment mode, subscription invoices, and gateway timestamps (Note: Sensitive card credentials and UPI PINs are processed securely by PCI-DSS certified gateways like Razorpay and are never stored on Sidhabill servers).
• Technical & Device Data: IP address, device browser type, operating system, and session timestamps for security logs and fraud prevention.

3. How We Use Your Information

Your business and financial data is strictly used to deliver and enhance our service:

• To generate GST-compliant tax invoices, GSTR-1 return reports, and commercial estimates.
• To send automated WhatsApp bills and payment reminders directly to your customers upon your explicit initiation.
• To provide inventory sync, multi-branch stock transfers, and financial ledger analytics.
• To send account notices, payment receipts, password reset links, and system update notifications.
• To detect, prevent, and protect against security breaches, data corruption, and unauthorized logins.

4. Data Security & Sovereignty (Zero Data Selling)

We never sell, rent, monetize, or trade your accounting or customer data to third-party marketing companies, advertisers, or credit bureaus.

All business database records are isolated per tenant with multi-level access controls so only your authorized employees and cashiers can view your business reports.

5. Cookies & Analytics

We use strictly necessary authentication session cookies and tokens to keep you logged in securely across POS devices. On our public marketing website, we use standard Google Analytics / Google Ads tags (`gtag.js`) to evaluate page performance and optimize our service. You can disable non-essential cookies via your browser settings at any time.
